Well i got me a 21in oem rim and tire from a 08 WG,Now i need everything else to turn my fxdc front end over to a wg front end!
For the people that have done this how do you like it? Is it the same as having a wg in the rake sense?
Where is the best place to shop for whatever else i will need?
The man to talk to is WS6 he has all the part numbers for the parts needed. My approach was a little bit different and I didn't use all Harley parts like he did. I have a three degree rake and non harley trees.
Bosken did this mod and listed all the part numbers in a post. He used after market trees and it cost WAY WAY WAY less than using OEM HD parts. Do a search.
I did the same thing following all the parts from WS6, with the exception of the tubes- i actually used the wide glide tubes, he didn't.
it's a nice rake... but if you lower the rear with progressive 11inchers, for example, lower the front if you can- i did mine in the trees for 1 inch... it makes it more of a slammed look and it performs better at higher speeds.
