Default 1997 FXD Super Glid

Was there anything special about the 1997 Super Glides? It's kind of complex but the short story is I found a "garage find" and the woman who has been sitting on the bike basically says her late husband claimed they were "special" or "different" in some way. She really knows nothing about the bike. I saw an S&S carb and cover and an S&S battery cover. Checked the VIN on the web and found nothing special other than its a 1997 Glide? Anyone? Thanks!

He probably told her it was special and a great deal when he told her he wanted to buy it. Sometimes thats what it takes when you want to buy a motorcycle.hee hee.

Nothing really special, just the last year for the "EVO" single cam engine. A good find.

Thank guys. Hopefully I can ****** it up. Have to figure out how to get paperwork as the bike is a USA bike and has residing in Canada since new. The US citizen who owns it is no longer around so it will be a bit complex. It has been parked in a garage for about 10 years but wasn't prepped properly for storage so it will need some work.

All Dyna's are special. They were the first to get the Twin Cam and the first to get a 6 speed. It's as if the Moco is catering to us.

97 wasn't the last year of the Evo. 98 was the last year of the Evo in the Dyna.
