you just need to be sure to turn the shock to the lightest preload setting then count the steps on each one to insure they are even... hard to screw up.

I'd say dumbass.... the guy was unable to see if your bike was lowered beyond stock or not. And he turned the wrong way...LOL

Ya know I have to agree with you, he looked at it and the first thing he said was; has it been lowered? What a dumbass!!!!! Anyway took a short cruise seems to be a little better, I may need to turn them another click.

sweet bike!!!! I just spent some time talking to works performance... their shock prices are much better than I anticipated... if you choose to get a set of new shocks they custom build them to your weight and 2up riding... it only will cost the same as buying a cookie cutter 440 from progressive which is to say $450- $500 for the pair. you can choose different models, options, and ride height... I got info. on the black tracker and steel tracker specifically.
Interesting thing also.. a 12" shock has about 2.6" of rear wheel travel. My 11" shocks...1.39".... 11.6" shocks...1.9".. not much travel in H-D suspension for sure.
