Default Air shocks for my wideglide

I bought these off e-bay for $53.80.
Wife didn't really care for the trip to Hershey park last summer, even though I spent $500.00 on a mustang touring seat. Had to stop about every hour her but hurt.
Maybe these will help. BUT I got the ok to go to a road king if not.
I love my dyna and don't want a bagger. Is there some mounting tips that could help me?

Air shock for the dyna is the way to go . I think it help's a lot and the air in the tires I run a little softer . Back tire I run 33 and the front 30 every little bit helps .

i have set of lowering air shock and love them... i took my chrome ones and shot em in ultra gloss black... here is how mine are mounted up... I mounted mine then fed the fill lines under the seat... here are the pressures you want to run as well

Recommended air pressures
0-10 lbs for a 150-lb to 200-lb rider.
5-15 lbs for a 200-lb to 250-lb rider.
20-25 lbs for a rider with passenger.
FL air preload rear suspension range is 0-35 lbs of pressure.
FLHRS and FLXH low-profile shocks are 0-50 lbs max.

I WAS an advocate for air shocks and swore by them for as long as they lasted. Unfortunately, they went away very quickly making the bike un-rideable. I had them on my SB for about 8k miles. They sacked like someone flicked a switch and all the damping went away. They bottomed on every small bump but held air. I even drained and refilled the shock oil with no positive results. As a side note; about 3 months ago I was following a buddy on his "05 Ultra Classic. We jumped on the freeway and it looked like the back of his bike was a diving board. I've never seen anything that out of control. We limped back to my place, put it on the rack, pulled the shocks and they were totally collapsed and would not expand. They both still had 18# of air in them too. He had 14k miles on his. Needless to say, I won’t run air shocks again, and like I said they were great while they lasted. Like any stock shocks, they are enough to get by but are a compromise in quality and don’t last long. At least with a traditional shock, unless there is complete failure, you can still ride with them even though the ride quality is deteriorated. The air shocks can get really dangerous and un-rideable.

Just my $.02

Ron

have you looked into getting some custom shocks made for your weight and riding style...Works performance does this. While a much heavier investment than $53 it sure would cost less than the trade in value loss from going to a road king. Thing with the road king... she may still be uncomfortable....Also, do you have a sissy bar?
I bet a wide glide with the works shocks and mustang seat will be more comfortable than a stock Road King. A works performance shock can be built for you for around the same cost as a progressive 440...450 to 500 bucks depending on which shock you choose and the trim and options.

Your right Joe, it's my WIFE'S decision. I just can't bring myself to go bagger style just yet.
I don't care either way but she does. I sure do love my dyna.

Just to re-state my case, I really liked the air shock ride and swore by them. The problem is when they wear out, they wear out fast and there's no riding them when they're gone.
