I love my SuperGlide Custom, wouldn't trade it for anything right now. Love the laced wheels too, it's a nice Harley tradition. Welcome to the forum, don't hesitate to ask if you need help. Lots of good folk here.
Hi,my first H-D was an XL1200S in Jan 02.It cost Ł7000 and 11 months later when I traded it in I got Ł7000 for it against an FXDL. After a couple of years I traded that for a Springer Classic and at the end of '05 that was replaced by an FXD35,a fantastic bike and I would recommend a Dyna SuperGlide to anyone.I had St1 done along with Progressive shocks/fork springs as well as a few other bits and that bike was perfect for me. I think that a Dyna is great for anyone moving up from a Sportster.
However....
After a Road Captains course and an Advanced course at the H-D Riders Edge in Wales where I got to try out some Baggers I decided the Dyna would have to go,to be replaced by an FLHT. Without doubt the best H-D,no,make that the best bike I've had in 30 years of riding.
Get yourself a Dyna and enjoy riding it,but be warned. Somewhere...in a bike showroom near you...there's a Bagger with your name on the paperwork.
Ride safe.

V&H Slip Ons,Fuelpack,SE air filter, minimum bling but VERY useful LidHaulers, buy some.
The only thing turning me away from the Custom or the Street Bob is the spoked wheels. I don't know why, because every bike I had back in the 70s and 80s had spoked wheels. I just feel "safer" knowing I'm riding on two big hunks of aluminum and tubeless tires. Should I feel this way, or am I just being silly?
