07 FXDB..Wheels, Tires, Powdercoat
Hi all. New guy here. I'm taking my wheels apart to get them powdercoated and was thinking about actually buying different size rims before I sent them away. I keep seeing Fitment charts on the internet stating 18 X 5.5 rim and 180 rear tire will fit on an 07 Street Bob with NO mods required. However, HD offers the Wide Tire Kit for a 180. Has anyone actually made this combo work with no mods (H.D. Kit)?

Thanks bberck. Obviously new to the Harley world......I'm also thinking about just getting a stock HD 21 X 2.15 for the front, powdercoating black, then re-lacing to the original hub. Do you see any problems with that, or do you recommend replacing the original hub also?
