Default lowering rear/front suspension...Progressive or Works

Looking to lower the bob after the first of the year after I get home from Recruiter School. I'm gonna start grabbing parts over the next 2 mths while in school to help ease the pain of not being able to ride. So, what is the best company/parts to go about it? I'm looking at the True-Track system and a fork brace but I am unsure of what company to utilize for actual suspension parts. Most riding is done without a passenger but it does happen occasionally. Thanks for any opinions or past experiences with different products ahead of time...

If you want to get a fork brace, I recomend Super brace. That's what I have on my bike. I noticed the diffrence right away when I installed it. As far as springs go, I have progressives in the front and the rear. I'm also running the SE fork oil. They did make the bike feel more stable. Alot better than stock. If I had the money I would have gone with Works, Ohlins, or Penske products. I'm also looking at the True-Track system. It seems like a good buy. A steering dampner, like Last Saints, would also be nice. Maybe I'll get one when my motor upgrades are done.

get the works performance.... the progressive is off the shelf and mediocre at best(IMHO and I do have prog. front and rear)...
Works will tune your suspension to you. your weight and your riding style...
I wish I would have called them before I bought my progressive components...
the shocks I want are surprisingly inexpensive compared to what I assumed they would be

I run lowered progressive springs & SE oil in front & 440's in the rear. Pretty noticable difference over stock. No doubt there is better as mentioned, but I have no regrets with my set up!

If these are your only two options and you wnat real benefit get the Works. Much better quality although they say they need a rebuild after a couple of years. I suggest Lowering springs in the front and Hi-Lo air ride in the back. I am yet to lower the front of my bike but love my hi lo air ride. http://www.hi-lorider.com/ If you have questions about Hi Lo call up Aaron. He owns the company and will be happy to take the time to explain it to you. (818)203-2853 He gives a discount to forum members too. And I almost forgot to mention the lifetime warranty. I am beginning to sound like an infomercial so I'll shut up now...

Thanks to all for the advice. I like the idea of an Air ride system but $900 is a little steep. I'm gonna give Works a call tomorrow and talk to them about their set ups. Depending on how pricey it gets I'll make the decision between them and Progressive. If there are any other inputs out there I'll gladly hear them.

For the front, RaceTech makes a kit that includes Springs and Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators.

they quoted me a set of the black trackers with the upper and lower trim cups for like $469 I believe. I got a few prices all under $500...
