Installed True Track today
Just got done installing the True Track on my bike. All in all, it took about 2 hours to install the front and rear. I'm dying to get it out and see how it handles, but I've got the bike tore down for a little winter work. I honestlt don't think there's much else I can do to make it handle any better. It's got Works suspension up front. Progressive 440's out back, fork brace, Storz steering dampener and now the True Track. WAY TOO MUCH MONEY and TIME!!

Second, If you can't improve handling any further...You will have nothing to blame but rider skill. That is a good thing! You will have nothing holding back your progression as a rider.
Man I would kill to have your scoot!

Well
Thought I would share my experiances w/u on the install of Truetrack 1999 Dyna FXDX.
To start off I have not experianced any fearful handeling situations prior to installing the Truetrack.
I have owned a Norton which ahd a similiar engine/trans /swingarm mounting system, and that could be fun at speed!
Instructions are excellent and explain very precisly how to install the brackets!
They do not however explain on how to overcome the various problems you can encounter. This was a 3 hour job for me
with the bike on it's side stand, and I was not in a hurry and I'm not a speed demon.
Also pulled the left side passenger peg for more clerance.
problems encountered,
1 getting the rear frame bracket in required removal of the rear master cylinder cover for enough clerance, and finding
the right way to drop the bracket in was tricky. Also the wire clip was tricky to hold in place and put the bracket in.
2 I had to short'n the supplied alllen head bolt's for the motor mount bracket, and my socket drive allen head drive was
too long forcing me to use an "L" wrench!
3Front was pretty easy just had to shorten the supplied button head allen bolts. I Also used a floor jack but probablly
could have done the motor mount bolts one at a time.
Have not done a ride yet will do that tomorrow, however cruised around the neighborhood and can tell you that the bike
was way stiffer that before so I'm loooking foward to a nice freeway cruise, will have to waight for the weather to change to
get on it in some twisties.
Love the Dyna I got and just have a couple more things that I want to do to it.
I know there are others out there getting the Truetrack and hope this helps with the install
mery Xmas to all and a Happy New Year
