Default Front tire wear

Does anyone know the best time to change a front tire? Obviously when it's worn..... I'm running the stock dunlops on my 08 WG, and there still appears to be tread in the center (about 2/32" above the wear bar), but the tread to the right and left of center is almost to the bare bones. I haven't had any problem in the corners, so I'm wondering what someone else could recommend. Also, the rainy season in CA is almost over, so I think I could squeeze a little more out of 'em.

Thanks.

What he said.

You'll be amazed how much better the bike feels with the new rubber.

change it up dude, what are you waitin for. you only got 2 tires. would you rather be sayin"I should have changed that tire a month ago"? Especially on the front. I might let the back go for awhile, but not the front.

I did mine on my third rear tire. Make sure to do any mods like chroming triple trees, fork sliders, or any front end powdercoating at the same time.

That's exactly opposite of a normal wear pattern. Your tire is underinflated.

Your bike is only as good as the rubber holding it to the ground.

Change your tire and don't think twice about it. Just had my front tire changed at my local dealership because I had some weather cracking. Still had a little tread but we already have enough to worry about when riding.
btw, it was the original front tire from 01 dwg so it was time anyway.

Why chance it? Tires are cheap...Laying your bike down isn't.
