I am looking into picking up a new solo seat. I don't know which one I want to go with. I want something fairly comfortable. I am torn between the Day Tripper and the Bare Bones.
Opions needed.
Thanks....
lep sillowette, super nice seat! has the look of the bare bones but a bit more padding in back to hold you in the seat! i could and have road all day on mine... very nice seat!!!
I have the bare bones. Good seat, feels better than it looks. Although not for the faint of prostate! If you have lowered springs, you'll definetely feel those bumps. I like the ride and support.
I have the Bare Bones and just ordered the Day Tripper. The Le Pera looks great and is fine for me for short rides around town. I do a lot of 200 mile rides and the Bare Bones just doesn't cut it.
I have always heard positive things about Mustang, but every solo I'd seen made by them was HUGE. They just weren't consistent with the look I'm after. I ran across a thread here yesterday where the Day Tripper was being discussed.
I've got the C&C solo. Just a tad wider than the bare bones and has a bit more padding. Still, its a fairly low cut seat and much better than the stocker for an all day ride.
I wouldn't trade my Corbin Hollywood Solo for any other seat and I've owned most of 'em. It looks good, it's firm but sculpted for your a$$ which makes it very comfortable. Have done 450+ mile days no problem.
