I just bought a pair of SWAT boots from the local shop for $100. they are very light and very comfortable. I happened to just walk by some guy trying them on and asked how they felt and he started raving on how good they were. I tried em on and rode home in em. http://www.originalswat.com/productd...tegory_id=MTA=
Made by HH brand, they are "tanker boots" made for tank crewmen in the Army. Not sure if you can find a black leather pair anymore because of the change to suede but I got mine for like 55 back in 2004 and they just get more comfortable every time I wear them. They have a strap that you use to tighten them instead of strings and they are full leather with a great sole.

Yea that's the kind of boots I like. Those ones you got don't look much different than the Bates ones I have.
While they were never ideal for rising my sportbike due to the ankle shifting position, my black leather Timberland boots turned out to feel pretty good when I used them on my Street Bob test ride. I ended up using them again on an all day ride on a buddy's Dyna Low Rider and they were comfortable as hell, plus rugged enough to feel protected as well. Think they cost me like $110 a few years ago. May be more than you want to pay, but if you have a pair laying around, they work great.

I had a set of HH years (years, years) ago. Were some of the toughest boots I ever had. Not too bad on the comfort either.
I ride in some hot weather suede combat boots I wore everyday I was in iraq. The brand is altima love them plus they dont look to bad with a pair of jeans and a black hd shirt. Good place to get some if your looking is www.rangerjoes.com.

That place does have some good prices. Here's a nice looking pair of Bates boots they have for $79, waterproof and look pretty tough:
Converse 8" side zip tactical boots. I've got em in tan and black, their like sneakers. Wore the tan ones in Iraq, they were great. Bought the black ones for the bike.
