2 issues ?
one is when I hit the front break at speed it sounds like air is comming out of somewhere, but at slow speeds all is well. No noise, no rubbing.
2nd
The front end of the dyna supers-Is it norm for the shocks to compress easily? I dont see a leak or hear any noise in the forks, they just dont seem all thet stiff.
If you have brakes, there shouldn't be any air coming from anywhere. If there were, the brakes would not engage. The noise may just be the pads engaging the caliper. I have a Softail Standard and it has several inches of front end travel when braking. I don't think that is a problem unless it sounds like it is bottoming out. If you have a shop manual, you can follow the procedure and change the fork oil, making sure you refill it with the correct type and amount. Saw your note on the rear turn signals. For future reference, they should unplug from the brake housing and allow you to pull the turn signal bracket completey off.
i get the same noise on my electraglide. i think its cause the rotors are slotted. pretty sure its normal. also sounds like your fron end travel is normal too. ride the heck out of it!!
My WG brakes make a bit of noise due to the holes drilled in the discs. The front end is less than firm, although it handles well enough - just compresses a lot over bumps and under braking. I've heard that a few extra cc's of oil in them can help.
Everything is normal. I had the check my front end, while changing my rear rim (due to freeking pot hole during night driving) and everything looks good.
Thanks again for the advice. This site is a wealth of knowlage
