Default Washing her down.....

I guess everyone can be a little different when washing our bikes. What is the best product and the best way?

I made a discovery last summer. Simple Green is the name of the product. Just spray it on, wait about 30 seconds, grab the hose and rinse it off. Perfectly clean!

Is your bike a Denim BLack Bob? I just wipe the flat black down with a little watered down amonia when really dirty. When just dusty, I use a little windex.

Black Denim? - dishwashing liquid and water works. Try ammonia based window cleaner as well.

I don't use any kind of chemicals or anything on my denim. I take it to the car wash and use the rinse cycle and don't apply any pressure to my front fender, tank and rear fender. I squeeze the trigger for the motor, rims, and all else. Then wipe her down with paper towels everywhere so she don't get any water spots. Works wonderfully. A bit time consuming, but worth it. Hope that helps.

I have a vivid black bob, I never thought about the car wash. Do you use the soap cycle?

Careful with the high pressure phrom the car wash. It is possible to phorce the grease out of areas where you want it to stay.

I only use the rinse and spot-free cycle.

Double what phreak warned about high pressure washers. I used a pressure washer once and wound up getting tthe plugs wet as well as shorting out the ignition by forcing a wire in between two pieces of metal on the bike. Go gentle with it.
