Took my 09 Fat Bob out last night for an hour drive. Found out today the police contacted my home to speak with me. First thing across my mind was the VH BR was to loud!
I lost my license plate right in front of the station. Why can't they make 4 holes on the stock for a license plate? I've asked this question before but I guess I can drill two holes at the top. I don't want the smoked LED lights. I already replaced mine with a regular smoked lens for the brake light.
The stock license plate holder is chit. I believe it's that way on purpose so you'll be practically forced to buy one with 4 holes as your first accessory purchase.
If you don't want to spend any money, blue locktite should do the trick. Lots of people here have fabbed their own homebrewed laydown holders using the stock parts, too.
Geez....might have to say thank you to them.... can't see how you would get fined for something like that happening. Seems like it was decent of them to call also as they could have just thrown it in a pile of lost plates somewhere, and then you have to go through the lost license plate process with the DMV, and pay to get another registration.
WBeem did you ever wonder why some comments draw the attention of LEO's?? Certainly seems like these guys were trying to be decent... obviously after running the plate through the DMV, they knew it belonged on a Harley Davidson.....
