getting air cleaner wet?

Default getting air cleaner wet?
how's everybody doing...i was wondering i have a big sucker stage 2 air cleaner that's left open (exposed air cleaner element) will water when i wash my bike harm the air cleaner? i don't ride until it's dry usually about 24 hours. should i reoil it after it has dried? any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance...ride on

Put a cheap shower cap over it. It will save you time.

Or just put a plastic grocery bag over it and then fasten it with an elastic before you wash your bike.

i got a stage 2 with an open cover. i ride in the rain all the time. never had any problems. never waited to ride after a wash either. only a small amount of water gets in... it vaporizes upon combustion. never had any problems. I oil it once every 2 or 3 months.

The filter oil should be water/rain resistant. But, as others have said, a shower cap is cheap and easy! Wish they made a rain sock for this thing!

Only worry about it if your exhaust starts blowing bubbles over the neighborhood once you fire it up!!!! lmao!

i want to thank everyone for your help. i don't know why i didn't think of a shower cap...and that bubbles over the neighborhood LMFAO...
