Default New to this site need help.

I have an 07 streetbob.Pretty much stock except for forward controls and screamin eagle exhaust.I am looking to add drag bars with pullback risers but dont know what size risers to get.I am 5'10" tall with average reach.Dont like the apes and am ready to take them off.I have a friend with the 9" risers but find them a bit tall want my hands a little more straight out.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

maybe head to your dealer and sit on a fatbob. They have a nice setup to me.

Yeh, no substitute for sitting on a bike, or even your own bike and getting a measurement from where you want your hands. I have T-bars so they are one piece and the rise is a bit more than I liked the look of. But I'm 6'4" and had to have the extra height to get the right fitment. I spent a lot of time at the dealer either sitting on bikes with aftermarket bars or holding some bars up on a bike in the approx. position they would be in if installed. It paid off - mine are perfect for me.

Ya your best bet is to go around and sit on some bikes. If you have a dealer with a good used inventory you can usually find lots of options. Just keep in mind the seat can adjust you as much as bars can so its not going to be exact if not the same seat. Find something you like then do some measuring or if have a place that will let you take the bars out to the bike and see how they would sit.

point is the fatbob could be a good gauge to go by. The bars and risers both have a little pullback. You can probably gauge the height and pullback you will like best by relating to how the fatbob feels and what you would like to change position wise. Then find the bars you want with the right rise, width, and pullback. Due to differences in everyones build, other peoples opinion of what they find comfortable may be completely different than your's.
