Default Chrome thunderheaders?

I was thinking of possibly swapping out the big radius for some chrome thunderheaders. Anyone running the chrome ones? I see alot are using the black ones and wondered how good is the chrome? I've seen a neighbor with a chrome set and it looks like crap... dull and discolored. I'm starting to really like the thunderheaders and I'm pretty much set on them but only if the chrome holds up. I want to find out what all the talk is about with the 2-1 pipes. I'm currently at 94hp & 110tq and my tuner said the big radius would have to go if I want to hit the 100hp range. The bike runs awesome and pulls like a freight train but feels a little rich and was thinking of swapping out the pipes and retuning to get the most out of it. Any pictures and info will help me decide on the outcome.

If you're looking for pipes that wont look like s**t after a short time then stay away from the thunderheader. What good is a couple extra HP if you're having to look at a crappy pipe on your expensive bike.

why not get a fatcat, the difference between the fatcat and B-R is amazing. The chrome fatcats are very high quality.

yeah, my buddy had a thunder header and it sounded awesome but the chrome turned blue in no time and rusted really bad. If you really like it they have heat shields for them but they are expensive.

Appearance wise I like the Fatcat better on the Chrome.
