Default Now what.....

So i was running D&D slash cut slip-ons on my '07 FXDL. The sound was pretty good given they were just slip-ons, the bike had great initial torque, but the transmission and shifting was choppy....not to mention the bike was running super lean! As someone stated in an earlier post......you could have cooked dogs on my mufflers. Called the boys up at Fuel Moto and had them dial me up a PCV to match my setup with the Big Sucker they were sending me. After the PCV and Big Sucker install, my bike seems to have lost its initial kick and the sound omittied from the pipes is remenescent of an asthmatic...the bike just doesnt growl anymore. HOWEVER, the midrange seems to be running ideal, the transmission is silky smooth, the bike is no longer running lean and no more popping on decel. So the question is.....lose of torque and growl an adequate exchange? dial up a new map? Try some BCT baffles?

Not surprising you feel a difference. Like they say, lean is mean-they run REAL good just before you burn a hole in the pistons.

could be the map is too rich. You will not know much unless you get it dyno'ed. Could try different maps, however your just tuning blind.

Change your pipes to something that will give you some bottom end. A good 2 into 1, or yes, some BCT baffles.
