New tank Mod pics
I want to do a paint job on my bike, OD green with black lettering on the side with my old company name. In the center of the tank i want to do a KIA tribute to three of my fallen buddies. My issue is that plastic trim on my tank that goes around the fuel cap and the gas guage. Is there a tank trim sold anywhere that just goes around the fuel cap and gas guage, and not all the way down the tank? I would just cut it and remove it but i think it would look to crappy. What to you all think?

Look in the under $50 thread ... Mudpuddle did a mod on his console that trimmed it below the fuel gauge on his '06 FXD. Depending on your bike, the mod should work more or less the same.
The under $50 thread has sticky index pages or just use the search function.
Sounds like it'll not only be cool, but have some significance ... post some pics when you get it done (or better yet, a 'how to' thread).

this is what it looked like, i made the lines and used a dremmel tool to cut off the metal i didnt want. then i grinded the rough metal, cut the old tank trim and ta da. CUSTOM!
