Default help, not running right

Hi All,
Just wonder if anyone else has experienced this. Went for a ride Sunday morning, ran sweet, later that afternoon bike wouldnt idle, spluttered and stalled, very jerky at constant speed, at one stage the engine was racing even with the throttle closed. pulled in and stopped engine. restarted ok with a twist on the throttle but ran like crap, a bit like a carbed bike on a winters day with no choke pulled out.
Ive checked all the cable connecters I can see, batterys tight, plenty fuel in the tank( still 1/2 tank from last fill up) throttle not sticking and cruise control under throttle backed off.
rechecked fuel pack settings, exhaust tight.tried it with xieds removed. After checking this lot this morning the bike seems to idle and rev ok, never been on the road yet.But there seems more vibration than before the problem, at idle vibration was always present, but rev her up a bit and it went away, mirrors were clear, now the mirrors are blurred when reving the bike up.
rang the dealers today and shes booked in for wednesday, but the dealer said hes never had one like this before.
bikes a 2008 FXDCi stage one, v&h BSS fuelpak stage 1 AC and 14.1 xied fitted. 5000miles and no probs, always ran sweet.
Anyone have any ideas, or had a similar experience.
Regards,
Jeff

Have you tried simply removing the Fuelpak from the line? Maybe it's gone bad. It could happen.

Thanks for the replies,
dont think its the gas, its whats left from last week when i filled her up. plugs are only 5000 miles old, fuel pak i wont rule out, but the shop can check it out.
I will enlighten us all by the weekend, when the shop tells me shes fixed(got to think positive).
safe riding,
Jeff

check your plugs and the gap, and also the connection of the wires to the plugs and the coil and check for arching. Also it might be an intake gasket leak or other Vacuum leak. If it's running that bad it should have a code set in the computer.

Had the same thing happen to me , eventually got it sorted by the dealer after loads of arguing.
My bike ended up having a new ecu, fuseboard , regulator , stator and a new fuelpack.
Did you get any warning lights or fault codes ?

No warning lights, and I dont know how to access the error codes.
Bike gets picked up by the shop on Friday morning.
Thanks,
Jeff
