Default rough/ idle sticky throttle..

Well here is my first post, introduction, first problem. figured I would go ahead and join as I'm sitting here waiting for a tow truck 50 miles from home. Headed out today for a nice ride got on the interstate, didn't think I was low on fuel set, set the cruise and felt it jerk a little. I later noticed that my check engine light come on, and shortly after my low fuel light came on. It was jerking and snorting and bucking, turns out I was running out of fuel quickly. I manage to coast in the nearest gas station and get the bike shut off. Fill it up with premium gas, when to start it and the same thing it will not idle it pops and snorts real bad, when I start to rev it up I can get it to 3 grand and it sounds like crap, much higher than 3 grand and its a run away from it all and I have to hit the kill switch. BTW it is a 2002 Ultra Classic fuel injected, stock intake. and I pull crap down into the fuel injectors or throttle body. Any ideas would hrlp. II would have done a search but I am on my phone that seems a little difficult

Sounds like you need a new fuel filter, new lines in the tank , and throttle cables to me, but I can not see ,or hear your bike.
