On the other hand, for less than $200 and an hour of your time, and you can put the same size, yet upgraded, shocks on the FXDC as what comes on the Street Bob and lowrider. It comes down to which style you like better. You can change little things like this on either bike without having to go with an entirely different bike to get something like lower shocks. If you really like the Bob but want to be able to ride 2-up, I wouldn't let the fact that the FXDC comes setup for 2-up, stop me from getting the Bob. Same is true if you like the FXDC but want the solo setup.

Exactly. All I had to do was get a seat, pegs and backrest set up. Not the end of the world.

Thanks for the pics. I've always liked the mustang seats. Looks great on your bike.

Here's a question.... Does the FXDC have the integrated handlebar risers like the Bob ?
If not, then that factor alone would push me right to the Custom. I like the idea of being able to change bars with out having to buy another triple tree.

The custom has removable risers. The stock bars are a bit of a reach with the short straight risers. That was one of the first things I changed on mine.
