Need help with stage one air cleaner install

Default Need help with stage one air cleaner install
Guys,
I'm putting on FuelMotos stage one A/C and have one question: There is some sort of sensor wired into the plastic stock backing plate. What do you do with that once you unplug it? These directions are very vague. Hopefully Im doing this right. Please help!

Just tie it up out of the way, it is un-used on US models.

My SE kit had a clip to put on the back plate to hold it. The plug is jumped out, it doesn't do anything so you could just zip tie it out of the way.

The plug is used on European models only.

Default last stupid question
I reinstalled the stock a/c cover. There is a rubber trim over the semi sharp edges of the football. This seems like it will fall off easily.How have you guys dealt with this or did you just toss it? It used to sit tight against the old platsic backing plate.

Toss it. I suppose if you wanted to keep it on there you could use some silicone, but i'd just 86 it.
