I agree with everyone's thoughts but I really do have a good working relations with this dealer. That is why I travel 60 miles to this dealer instead of the other two that are within 20 miles of the house. They promise to make it right and i think that I will give them this chance but it all will be documented for future problems. What do you guys thinks as I really do value your opinions. Thanks guys
Wow, you only rode it a half mile, I would really ask for another bike. A whole new wireing harness and they think that's the problem? Maybe something else caused the wireing harness to go bad. You might be kicking yourself later if you take this bike. Seems like the Dealer should understand this. I think your state laws would back you up you only had the bike 5 minutes.

Hey! Did I see you at Elkridge HD on Wednesday?? There cant be that many Xbones with that exhaust around here...
try calling harley direct and just flat out tell them i dont want that bike i want a different one, and see what they have to say this should have showed up on the dealers road test before delivery. And let us know how they handle it. henry
Do you remember how many miles were on it when you picked it up? Like it was already mentioned maybe a PDI road test was done but problem didn't show or it was ignored, in the hopes the buyer would wait longer on a new bike with a second harness in it. I'd talk to the owner of the shop on a second bike on the basis of your faith in the current purchase, if no can do, cancel the deal, then go to a second dealer. If the owner is worth his salt he would stop you before you get out the door.
