First...Make sure it doesn't become YOUR PROBLEM! Have them deal with it, and request a different bike if you can.
However...
You are already getting full MSRP in trade for your sporty, and they let you ride the sporty (which belongs to them now) home until the dyna is fixed. My dealer sure as hell doesn't give out loner bikes. Don't be an a$$hole and demand crazy discounts and free stuff...they are fixing the problem and you are not without a ride for the time being, unless you want to lose that "great working relationship" with them that you mentioned.

I politely disagree, If you buy something for thousands of dollars and it breaks five minutes after you get it, it should be replaced not fixed. You bought a new bike not a refurbished one.
It's under warranty , by law i don't think they have to swap for another unless they can't fix it, i bought a new bike one time and the same week i had trouble because a wire was crimped under the seat somewhere , they fixed it and never had a problem after that , you should be fine...
Would be nice if they could just have given you a different bob but if you financed, your original bob's vin is on all the paperwork and they're not gonna redo it all just for that. Sorry bout that.
Dude, I'd tell em to shove that bike and keep the Nightster. Then if you really want to trade it in go to another dealer.Sorry, this is a sign take the Nightster and run.

No, you mistakenly disagree...I did say that he should try to get a different bike. So I agree with you (unfortunately, the loan company might not agree). I just don't think he should try to "punish" them by demanding free crap.
I'd give them a chance to RPL the wiring harness although I would think it would be a computer problem. Since it is a new wiring harness you would think that the problem would be obvious, like a screw through a wire or a bad ground or something. But I would give them a chance to right the situation if it was me. We used to get people that wanted replacement computers. (Gateway) It wasn't the best solution to the problem.
you have heard many different opinions here, btu think about it, any knowledgable mechanic should be able to pinpoint a faulty wire so either somewere a nest of wires got crushed(not likely) or roasted(not good) or they realy dont know whats wrong. changing the whole wire harness because of a faulty wire is like changing an engine because of aone burnt piston. i think there lost on whole deal.
