Default pulling the cam bearing is a bastard

pulling the cam bearing is a bastard if you dont have the correct puller .. the **** of it is the bearing is $10 and the puller $85 .. If you f%&k up you will damage the bearing and it will fall apart and then its a real hard job to file, chesel, tap, wack, pull that dam thing out of there without destroying the block .

Thats the bearing on the inside of the cam chest? The tool is this plate that fits over the outside of the cam chest, bolts down and then a threaded rod pulls the bearing out?

Ya know, I was wondering how many of y'all have acquired the tools and would be into doing a trade program. Maybe kick up $5 towards overall cost to the person. Sort of a rental fee.

We're all upstanding guys here. How many times you gonna change cams in your life?? Don't answer that.

I talked to Zippers about this a few weeks ago. They said no need to change maps. Clear all your learned offsets and go ride, the Tmax will take care of the rest.

not sure about cost but I'm thinking of doing the same thing....did some research and the cams that seem to be the front runners are the Woods TW-6-6 and the HQ 500

I just ordered the Andrews 37's for $228.90 shipped. I'll put them in myself, I know how to wrench but I'm new to Harleys so I've been studying the threads here on cam changes and it really is a simple job.https://www.hdforums.com.au/Default....ics&forumid=24 Scotty does a good job of showing the install.
