It's funny... I used to listen to music all the time when I had my Honda Magna (which had drag pipes), but really haven't been inclined to with either of my Harleys. Admittedly, I did wish I had my iPod with me while riding many hours through the desert last year.

Ha, I do all the time.. I always have an ipod in one ear on my way to work every morning. Its just chill. Doesn't affect my riding ability. I can hear just fine.

I need to get some better earbuds ... the ones I have do not fit well and are hard to keep in while putting my helmet on. [I find that when I wrap my face mask over them it helps secure them in my ears and less difficult to keep in place when donning my helmet.] I like to listen to some tunes on 'shuffle' on my Zune while commuting. I don't really view it as a hazard, as I can hardly hear the thing over the noise of my bike and traffic.

Personally, I think it's much easier for a cager to be distracted than someone on a bike ... at least I find it easier to respond to distractions when I'm driving my cage ...

For that reason, I'm usually twice as vigilant when riding my bike.

Ipod and shure e2 in the ear buds. I wear ear plugs anyway , so see no reason not to have tunes... same function, add pleasure. music is kept at a volume I can still hear and as all of us know always having the awarness of surroundings and riding prepared

I use my Iphone all the time when ever I leave town. If kept at a decent level it effects your ability to hear less than the wind noise does with out them.

On long trips when I have my windshield on I will only use 1 ear bud since there is alot less wind noise. With my full face helmet I can keep the volume very low and still hear it and traffic good.

i ride with one, its getting more and more frequent, i love it, i long trips its a neccesity for me. i keep my volume loud enough so i can hear when i need to shift, besides that i can't hear anything, it is dangrous and i have more close calls wearing it. i just do how i do

never in groups.

i got one friend that i feel comfortable ridding side by side with when were both wearin them, no one else

I usually wear ear plugs on the highway and my etymotic research headphones are basically earplugs with music coming out of them. They fit really well and sound great for ear buds. No problem with wearing a helmet with them either since they are soft and go in my ear unlike the ipod earbuds which stay outside your ear canal and are a pain after a few hours.

i used to use an iPod and Headphones when I rode. I could still hear plenty well. However, I want to be safer, so Joe is building me one of those fork bag stereos seen above. It just seems safer and more practical. Plus, I can blast out some Black Label Society and drown out those hood rats that pull up next to me playing ****ty rap.

Never have, never will. It's all part of the riding experience. I just like the wind, sun, and the feeling of freedom.

Just don't laugh at me too hard when if you see me rolling down the highway singing at the top of my lungs.
