I bought a 2009 super glid custom, I want to put the detachable sissy bar on it but don't want to move the turn signals. If anyone has gotten around this please let me know. Thanks for any help.
If you want to use the detachable kit, you have to use the relocation kit, which doesn't move them off the struts, but has an adapter that allows the detach sideplates to snap onto the mounting bolt.
Others have bought the rigid sideplates, dremeled out the mounting holes, and used that. Looks a little cleaner, and I don't think requires the relocation kit because it mounts inside the struts (don't quote me on that though).

I'll quote you on it. I've done it (notching rigid sideplates) to mine. No turn signal relocation required.
Here are a cpl pics of the kit that relocates them and keeps them in the same spot. It doesn't put them out any further than the original. Now if you plan to add saddle bags you will need to move the signals off the struts.
I had the rear laydown plate relocation kit and ended up putting a side plate on and moving the signals back to the struts with the quick detach sissy bar relocation kit.
Here is pic of the laydown plate relocation kit i used to have.

Had I known I had to cut the wires on my blinkers for the removable backrest .......I would have relocated them back by the tail light.....Easybracket and Harley has relocator kits. Then the question of saddlebags might not come up......Just an option........ And easybrackets are easy to put on I seen thier video online...
check with your dealer to be sure, but I BELIEVE this is the part# 53968-06C
Im pretty sure this is the kit that's on my dyna which is the same kit ohioskully has.
