I don't have a sissy bar. Was hoping to not have one, I prefer the solo, but I did get the pillon phor wifey and the kids. Wifey is really liking this bike, and I may need to get a sissy bar. IF I do, it will be a quick detach.
I don't worry about the pillon possibly getting in the way of the sideplates. I had a similarly shape seat on my Sporty, and a sissy bar. No problems.
I just ordered the HD "Stripper" seat today from Zanotti's, talk about a huge savings! (over $60 from the local dealer). I was going to keep the solo and use a phantom pad when the girlfriend and I go on short runs, but after all the talk on here about them, I figured I better not.
I do have the pillion seat, but its a pain to take on and off when she wants to go for a short ride (but she does say that it's very comfortable). So, I'll put the solo and pillion together and have it for the longer rides and keep the Stripper seat on for daily riding. (as long as I like the looks!) If not then I'll have to order the Brawler solo and she will have to live with all the $$ I'm spending to make her happy.
They said 4-5 days for delivery and I'll post pics and update on comfort when I get it.
The quick detach kit phor the pillon is a sh!tload cheaper and probably easier phor going phrom solo to 2up. Granted it looks like you just mounted phrankenstein's head on your phender.
What I'm really looking phor is a 2up seat that will combine the comfort phor both, and not look like a huge turd on the phender.
