Default PC III usb install?

I have a '05 Superglide and I am trying to install the PC III and the picture shows installing it under the seat, but the bike in the picture doesn't have the ignition cylinder behind the battery like the Superglide does. So with the space that the ignition cylinder and wiring take up there is no way I can get the PC III to fit in the space under the seat.

Where is everyone mounting their PC III's? On the frame behind the rear cylinder or under the battery are the only places I can see it fitting but I am worried about exposure to heat or moisture in those locations.

Anyone have an idea on what would work or even a picture on where their's is mounted?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I put mine underneath the seat, the hard part was placeing the stock connectors someplace without getting them too close to the engine. I had to use some zip ties to keep it away. I guess you just have to mount it anyway you can. I think it is a sealed system so water will not hurt it

I just installed one on my 05 FXDCI. If you look at the installation pictures, you'll notice that the connectors end up on top of the support for the ECM. They end up sticking up too much and dig into the seat. I ending solving the problem by looking at the install pics for an 06. You can put the connectors below the ECM; there's empty space there. I didn't have a problem with the PCIII module. It ended up fitting snug against the fender by the battery.

Hope this gives you some ideas. I know what you are going through. Life sucked until I figured out the connector problem.

Is it about the same for installing a V&H Fuel Pack? Same location, problems, etc?
