Fork Lock
I had an issue last year where it wouldnt lock them at all. When looking up where the pin comes down, the hole is elongated, front to back. The pin on my lock had moved to the back and was missing the holes in the tree to lock the forks. I stuck a screwdriver up there and it moved forward. I havent had an issue since. Maybe thats not exactly your issue, something to check for tho. I also just spray WD-40 right into the lock where the key goes, makes it work real smooth.
My bike started doing exactly the same thing about 2 weeks ago. Haven't had the inclination to either take apart he lock or hit the dealer up about it.......but 1k service coming up and i'll take care of it then. Been wrestling with the idea of doing the 1 k service myself. Whats the quickest way to find out if my bike is under warranty? Its an '07 that i bought used from the dealer and i was so excited about getting a good deal on the bike that i didn't even ask about the original purchase date.
I thought this was funny until it happened to me today! Luckily I had read through the thread, took a screw driver and slowly pryed the lock pin towards the front wheel, all good now! Thanks to all the bros!
