For your future reference...brake cleaner takes the goo off without heat in about 5 seconds. Just make sure you wash the paint quickly after you're done.

I did mine with the bike in the sun on a 95 degree day. They came off like they were held on with elmer's glue. No problems, and the little residue that was left was super soft.

Before you go rounding off wrenches, trying to get that bastard screw out, wasting time and using colorful metaphors, just drill the head off.

the belt guard is a real beotch....I tried pretty much everything with no luck......eventually I just heated the head of the bolt with a blowtorch for about 10 seconds or so....came off after that no problem at all. I'd go straight to the torch if I was doing it again.
Last week the replies to my reflector issue said "HEAT". So I used the old lady's blow dryer. Worked like a charm. She was wondering why I was sneaking it out to the garage!
I pulled my reflectors on *35 day that sucked! took about a hour, on the other I was lucky on my bike, and had no problem taking off the upper belt guard that was cake
