Anybody have any good input on a windshiled for an '08 SuperGlide? i.e. Brand, model, height, detachable/non-detachable? I need a shield but I am trying to get one that doesnt look too clunky and is still kinda classy. If anyone has any experience/recommendations, let me know!
I have the HD detatchable compact WS it's not too high yet keeps the wind off my chest at high speed.10 seconds to remove or apply leaves nothing on the forks when it's off, Though there is a long list of other providers, their names escape me!
edit= O be careful in choosing , you don't want the sheild up above eyw level forcing you to drive while looking through it!

I have a 16" tall standard width Windvest shield on mine. Love it. It's not "QD", but I can have it completely off with no trace inside of 10 minutes. It stays on the bike most of the year, though - I really don't like getting hit in the face by bugs and other road junk.
I've got the HD detachable. It's not the tallest one, probably the mid I guess. Anyway I like it. Quick on/off, makes riding that much more enjoyable IMO.
I just bought a QD from Chicago HD. $365. shipped. About a $75. saving. Good price and service. I like the fact that I can put it on or take it off in seconds and it is nice for longer highway miles.
I have the tall " Touring " HD quick release. I like it because ,depending on where you lock it onto the forks( how high ) , you can either look through it . or over it.
