How would you describe the sound of these? I checked out a few vids on youtube and was not very impressed (I suppose the quality of the video might be a factor.) So I'll ask those who either have the exhaust or those who may have heard the exhaust. Thanks.
Umm... its a very deep, throaty tone. The only thing I kinda don't like is the cone at the end.. it kinda makes it sound a little tinny at times. But it sounds very nice man. Not THAT loud when cruising around, but when you crank that throttle, it barks! I've had my dad and buddy ride my bike several times and it sounds AMAZING when your hearing it from another perspective. Sounds SOOOOO damn mean!

Everything Adrian said...accept I never notice any tiny sound, ever? Although I've never ran one on a stock motor, that's allways my first mod! I'd say it might be the deepest most throaty production pipe ya can get & don't even watch you tube vids for comparissons, they're way off for any pipe. Just go to a bike show or any event & pay attention. They produce very good power aswell...not the best but very good torque curve. Also if ya like the deep sound, check out the Bassani pro 2 into 1 just for another coparisson!
I might be off a little but to me the TH makes the bike sound like a hot rod. a '69 camaro. When I first fired mine up (it was a new set), it sounded a bit tinny but as the mileage has added up they seem to be getting a little deeper.
Don't listen to anything on youtube... unless it is a recording by a professional audio system..... so basically what I said first.
Having listened to some BR2-1 clips just now, it just isn't anything close to how they really sound. I listened to them in person on a stock 96" motor before I bought them. I would suggest you do the same for the pipes you are interested in
It's not your typical Harley exhaust note...but then the Thunderheader is designed for performance first and sound second. If you want performance get em...if you want sound go with V&H.
Yup I'd say that also...I think the sound is the best thing about em, as any 2 into 1 will perform well & certainly Thunderheader is not the best perormer out there (one of the best), but not the best! Sound is fu**in killer!
