I have an 07 SB and was thinking of getting 09 miniapes because I want to have the cables internal, looks much neater..used the SF on here without avail...can anyone tell me if the miniapes on the 09 are exactly the same size as on the 06-08 models ? I offered up a set of 09's on my '07 SB and they looked a tad shorter..or was that just an optical illusion????????
They are the same size bars... You can drill your bars and internally wire them if you like... But there will be holes where your olds wires mounted to the bars externally...
Im pretty sure the bars are the same diameter... But you can get aftermarket apes (12" apes pre drilled is 79.95 from hill country custom cycles) , pre-drilled cheaper than hd bars.

That's why I wanted the 09 bars...did'nt want the mounting holes and been offered a pair of '09s cheap : )
I like the rise of the standard mini-apes but want to internally wire them for the better look, dont want the cable mounting holes and been offered an 09 set cheap, just want to PC them black and swop them over.Just looked 1" shorter to me,maybe I'm mistaken?
A word of caution. You mention you have an 07 SB, but when you mention the miniapes, you only mention them as 09. Not "09 SB" apes. Harley does make a set of 10" miniapes that are smaller than what comes on the Street Bobs.
Just want to make sure you order the correct thing that you want.
