What exactly were you smoking that made you think leaving the aluminum wheels unfinished so they could corrode and pit horribly in less than a year was a good idea?
Spent 3 hrs and a whole can of Nevr-Dull on them today and they still look like ***.
Guess that's what I get for assuming you guy's at MoCo were bright enough to clear coat them at the factory.......
Whoa, sorry to hear about this. I'v had mine since 9/07 and the wheels still look great. Of course we don't get the seasons like you probably do in NC, so that may be a factor. I usually wash the bike every 1 -2 weeks and they clean up nicely, especially using the laundry cleaner SHOUT, like others on this forum have mentioned. I don't have any suggestions as to how to make them look better, but maybe someone here will. Got any pix of them in their current state?

Nevr Dull? That chit's worthless. When things get that bad you need sandpaper, and Red Scotchbrite pads. It will create a brand new finish if you know how to use it as good or better than factory.

Yes, I know there are more aggressive polishing methods out there, my point is I should not have to be doing this, especially after less than a year from new.
This is AFTER cleaning them up:
I'll be powdercoating them rather than lighting MoCo cigars with more of my money for their rims.

spending 1 hour with the correct polish once every six months is better than pealing or yellowing clear coat, i wish the sliders were raw too
Just curious, do you ever wash your bike? I have had mine for nearly 4 years and they still look new. All I do is use S100 every few weeks. I have seen mag wheels on cars do the same, any metal will if you don't take care of it.
