So I'm building a set of FWD Controls for my scoot. I need a little dimensional help. Can someone with standard length forwards give me a dim. from the center of the peg to the top mounting bolt(where the controls mount to the frame)? Thanks in advance
I had to extend my aftermarket forwards further so the brake linkage wouldn't interfere with the Rinehart pipe I was putting on. I moved my control 3" forward by making new brackets for everything to mount to. Here's what I ended up with.
Machined from billet aluminum followed by some wet sanding and polishing...
Keep us posted on your project, can't wait to see what you end up with.

Is it just me or do you have a long ways up to get to your shift lever.
It looks like it would be even for my big feet.
Now that you mention it, it does appear that way in the pics. When I ride, my foot is just outside the shifter peg with the big toe side of my boot resting against the end of the shifter. Upshifting feels natural and easy, but downshifting is a little more work. I sometimes lift my entire foot off the peg and use my heel to downshift if I'm shifting lazy (or not in a hurry that is). I think that feel has a lot to do with where the pivots are in relation to the footpegs. I could probably adjust it a little down, but too much more and I'll have a hard time getting my boot under for an upshift.
Good info in the SolidWorks shot. I got mine modeled in Alibre. I'm makin them out of stainless. How about a dim from the same point to CL of the brake pivot on a brake that uses the linkage style instead of the peg mounted M/Cyl. Thanks to all. I keep ya'll posted.
