I took my stock seat off and put on a solo but found myself sliding off when I take off hard at a light! So I took off the cover on the stock seat and shaved the foam back about 3 inches with a wood rasp.I shaped it like the stock style,I streched and glued the cover back on and restapeld it.But now I can strech out more and not worry about sliding off!It works good for me and i'm getting some use out of a seat that I was going to sell.
Dude that sounds like a cool mod, wouldn't mind doing it also. Beats buying
a seat right now, Even though i still want a C&C fastback. Does is sit you
down lower?
Funny about the sliding, I have the same issue since I went to my solo seat, thought it was just me. But I like the seat so much its a small price to pay
I have a solo seat right now that i'm selling in the classified section because of just this thing. When i accelerate at a light....i slide back and instinctively grab the left grip and pop the clutch. Happens almost every time even though I know whats happening. Only way to prevent it, is to crawl away from the stop......which isn't going to happen. So decided to sell seat.

I done the same think on my previous bike,here is the story;
I purchase solo mustang seat and god, I headed even worse than stock one,so I took the cover of the stock seat shaved down and back made a nice shape in it put the cover back on and I never look for a different seat again I put 25k miles on that seat worked great for me.
more likely I am gonna do the same on my stock train seat to....
Sounds cool. Maybe you could do a write-up for everyone. Pics would be very nice.
I would like to do that ,But I realy would have to take every thing apart and I have it glued and stapled and maybe next time.I realy didn't think it would come out so well.
