Can I drill my trees?
What I would really like is to put an fl front end on my 07 fxdl, but not sure I want to do that.
What I would really like to do is have mounting studs on the trees much like the softails have.
So could I drill my trees at the outside center to accept the studs found on fl and touring models without creating a safefy issue?

ooh hell ya you can! there is plenty of metal there to be fine... i drilled under my lower tree for my fog lights, i have added brackets to trees before.. just stay away from the pinch bolt area

don't know if I'm going to do it or not. Just pondering my options.
