I have 07 dyna SB, pretty tricked out with a lots of black and PM (wheels, control, brakes etc) I love the ride..... from bar to bar, canyons and short rides. I recently did a 250 miles ride with a group and I got beat up pretty good from the wind and the rough ride (bike lowered 2") I just saw a nice 08 street glide used with 3000 miles on it (10,000 worth of upgrades) and the dealer is asking 26000 OTD. They basically asked for the SB and 13000 for this SG. I know this type of question has been in the forum before, but here I go again..... Thanks.
By the way here is pic of my SB.

Reason: Adding pix.
sounds like you already have your answer: "got beat up pretty good from the wind and the rough ride (bike lowered 2").
If you weren't already swaying toward the SG I think your description would have been more positive.
Go with your gut and don't worry about what anyone else has to say; they aren't buying it or riding it.
They are trying to get rid of the '08 and earlier touring models because of the major upgrades that came out in '09. You can do alot with a Dyna but if your heart is set on bagger its up to you.
windshield... either that or turn your bob into a bagger man! i am in the process now!!!
7.5 headlight, air shocks, hard bags, full fairing... Priests set up is DOPE as hell too!!!
Keep the dyna and look for a little older bagger, and have the best of both worlds. I had the bagger first and loved it but had the need for a little hot rod so I bought a SG and enjoy having the choice of rides.
Removeable windshield, bags, and forwards with heel rests (all of which I have) add a lot of touring comfort to a Dyna. But, the Dyna's will never ride like the real touring bikes. I would love to add a Roadking to my stable. But NOT getting rid of the Dyna.
Would have loved to buy a Street Glide, Dyna works it is versatile and I plan on the same ting, adding bags and windsheild ( all quick removable) so I can get the best of both worlds with one bike. Good luck and happy riding.
