Default cam questions

i was looking to do cams on my bike here is what i have.
07 streetbob with
pcIII,v&h BR, SE heavy breather.
i dont even know where to start on which ones to get.
right now i have 89 hp and 98tq i was looking to get those into the 100's would this be possiable with cams. what would it cost to put these in and would i have to remap the pcIII once i put them in. also is there any thing else i should do to the bike when i upgrade cams?
thanks for your input

With 89hp & 98tq, I would've guessed you were already running cams!

+1 stock hp is around 65 and tq is in the mid 80's. You got cams I think. Did you buy the bike used? Contact old owner and find out what he did. Its important info.

thats impressive numbers for a stock bike, it all depends what you want, i dont think just cams will take you over 100 HP, certain cams do more for HP and certain cams do more for TQ, also it depends when you like your power ...like 3000 rpm or 5000 rpm, you will have to research alot of different cams and find ones you like

dont let me forget, if you go with BIG cams (example 650 lift) your going to have to change some stock parts in your engine

Post the dyno sheet if you have it. It sounds like some of the numbers may have been manipulated.

Just start lookin around on different websites & callin a few shops for their info...you'll learn faster than you think! Just keep in mind where you want your power! Take a look at andrews 37's and woods tw-6-6. Work great with the stocker!

Sounds like they might not have been using SAE scale. I've got 07 Street Bob, V&H BR with BCT baffles, PCIII, RSD A/C, Andrews 30T pulley, HQ500 cams & I'm only getting right at 88HP & right at 92 TQ. Could stand to use a little more tweaking probably. Anyone know if I should change any of the ignition timing with my set up?
