What kind of bike is it? If it's the actual stick on type emblems then they are not that hard to take off yourself. Use a heat gun, some floss or fishing line, and some goo gone to remove the residue.

Now if you have the emblems under the clear coat then you are screwed.

Its an 08 street bob. Thats the first thing I am going to do when I get home. I just like the clean tank. I would upload a picture, but I am kinda on an aircraft carrier, and thats like performing brain surgery on this network.

It's really easy to do. Just double up on some dental floss and work it back and forth. It will take a couple of minutes, but you can do it. Then like the guys said; use some goo gone and it was like they were never there.

The street bob emblems are made of real thin metal and they get pretty bent up in the process. At least mine did anyways.

If you get them off without damaging them, what would you take for them?

easy, saw with dental floss the foam double sided tape that holds the emblems on, it won't harm the paint as it cuts through the center of the mass of the foam tape. then a clean cotton rag, wetted with wd-40, it'll remove the gum or the adhesive from the other half of the foam that sticks to the tank. and after saturating the foam a few times, voila, no more emblem. clean look in my opinion. then wax it and you're done. this should work with the satin paint too, although i would forget about waxing it .
