I'm getting ready to put 13" apehangers with 1.5" risers on my 08 Fat Bob. Can anyone tell me what length of cables I need to by to do this? Thanks in advance...
I just measured my existing cables and the held the new bars with risers up to the bike and measured the extra distance. To be safe I ordered longer than what I measured although what I measured would have been perfect as the cables I got are too long.
I just put 12" bars(center to center) on my 08 fxcd. Original bars were 6 1/2" rise and about the same width as the new ones. I went with +6".
clutch cable 72 1/2" ---- stock lenth was 66 1/2"
throttle/idle 36" ----stock lenth was 30 1/2"
brakeline 50" ---- stock lenth was 44"
Looking at stocklenths for your bike and considering bar width and pullback, I would say your looking at about +8" at least.
Sorry if I confused you even more.
