I went on a trip the other day... I was cruising at around 93-100mph... I found the ride to be annoying... I have a detachable windshield, the rpm was at around 4000... I felt like the bike could not handle any more speed... and every time I would let go of the throttle, i get some backfiring... is that normal?
93-100 is not cruising and definetly not normal.....at least not for me.IMHO if thats your riding speed you may want a different bike thats more comfortable at those sustained speeds.Though you may not keep a license to drive it..
I see woman ride that fast over here in Germany, 100mph is safe if everyone follows the rules of the road, ohh damn there's the reason you can't drive that fast state side no one knows or bothers to follow the rules in General
we have fixed radars... the bust speed is a bit over 100mph... so anything below that is fine... We were riding in a group and had a bunch of road kings and ultras and they seemed fine and comfy at that speed...
Blasphemy, I know...but if that's your normal kind of riding, you need to look at a BMW K1300 GT. On my K12S, 100 feels like 60 on most bikes. Smooth, stable....right in the comfort zone. The HD just isn't engineered for that kind of use.
