i read somewhere there is a recall on the new 2006 street bob something about the transmissions ? is this true and is this on all bikes even new ordered bikes ? reason why i am asking is because i am having forward controls put on my new 2006 street bob when it comes in and if there is a recall on the tranny i want that done at the same time .. how would i find this out ?
Gee'z leave the Softail guy to answer his question
Um your bike should already have the recall done if your buying it new and buying it now, they recalls started kicking in around Fall of 2005 I think. So if your getting your bike now, the dealer should of already had the recall done, and if it came from the factory within the past 4 months your fine, cuz they have corrected the tranny issue. Im sure a Dyna guy will be able to pin this down a little more, but thats what I think. [sm=escape.gif]
