I have a new Dyna Superglide and like i did with my old sporster, i would like to put louder pipes (slip-ons) on it.
But the dealer told me that it is'nt that simple anymore wit the injection system.
The dealer told me they have to reset the ecu unit, and when i asked for a powercommander he almost shot me with the words don"t do it because i had bikes that ruined the control unit and no warranty.
Does any one of you guyes over here has experience with a powercommander, is it really a big risk of using it or is this just dealer frustration
First off he is shittin ya because if you only change pipes you don't have to change the fuel ratio. You only need a fuel modification if you change the pipes and your air cleaner. You can change one or the other and the ecu will handle the adjustments using the reading from the o2 sensors. And he probably gawked at you because he would rather sell you something HD like a sert , S.creaming e.agle r.ace t.uner. Change your pipes and enjoy, and give him a big kick in the nutZZ insulting your intelegence like that. Some of these guys think because your new you will never find stuff out and come back mad later on!
went through the same **** today at the *** wipe dealer.. Went in to drop about a grand on chrome.. while the parts guy is pulling the stuff. I go back to talk to the Service manager ask about putting on the SE Heavy Breather. withe the power commander V He goes nuts telling me that the V gets all kinda of bad codes... I just walk right out the door.. I will never go back there again.. Wanted me to buy the fuelpak...

PC's are one of the most pop.fuel management units and most people have a hard time with V&H fuel paks! I wonder why he didn't at least stress the sert!
I recently put a Power commander on my 2009 Super Glide Custom. Jamie at Fuel Moto shipped it to me with the correct codes already imputed. Works great, no concerns. I got the same **** from the dealer when I told him I was going with the PCV but kindly explained to him that when he starts paying for the parts on my bike he can have a say! Screw him and his overpriced SERT!
