Installed Corbin Dual Tour Heated
Corbins are pretty much love it or hate it. They are very firm. Some like that, some don't. For my bony ****, firmer is better otherwise after awhile I feel like I've sunk straight down to the pan. Not good. Corbins are also VERY heavy. That's an issue for some, it's not for me. I had Corbins on both FZ1's that I've owned, and found that they gave me more room to move around, sat me further back from the bars (good for me) and a tad more legroom (also good for me). Really, you have to try it to know if it's gonna work for you.
Lots of people recently report that their customer service has gone down the crapper. Well, I didn't find that at all. I ordered the seat from the website, and a rep promply called me to confirm which type stitching I wanted, and what options, etc. Very friendly and shipping was quick. The seat is in perfect condition, and fits very nicely.
Oh yeah, and price. Corbin's website often has good deals in their "web specials" section. I found the seat for my Harley there, it retails for $699 and they had it listed for $249. It's the Dual Tour Heated with "tuck and roll" stitching. It's got heat for both rider and passenger, high and low, and slots for backrests for both rider and passenger. I bought an Ebay backrest for $89, and I'm very happy. Here's a link to the backrest that I bought:

This my first heated seat, and it is AWESOME for those cool evenings. Plus some say turning the heat on helps with butt burn on the long hauls (like putting a heating pad on sore muscles). Installation was a snap. It came with one of those little fuse adapter things, pull the accessory fuse, plug in the adapter, replace fuse in the adapter, install ground wire, and connect harness to seat. It's got a quick release pigtail so you can easily unplug the wiring when removing the seat. The only downside is that my sissy bar and luggage rack won't fit anymore, but that's okay. You can't have a passenger while using the driver's backrest, so when I've got my wife on board, I'll just move the backrest to the passenger spot. I've got a new Khrome Works luggage rack on order that should work. I actually like the look without the sissy bar better.

i have 2 corbin seats. nice seats, but i hate the way the new models mount with the bracket and key system. the seats cover mount holes making certain racks and sissy bars no longer work. i guess the lock system makes sense on an expensive seat like yours. i will no longer buy a seat from corbin because they are a bunch of jerks. like i said - i have 2 locking seats with 2 different locks - requiring 2 different keys. i've sent them numerous unanswered emails and called a number of times just wanting to get 2 "like" locks. i don't want them for free - willing to pay - they just won't get back to me - ever. i guess this means that they don't want my business - now or in the future?
