Default Installed Corbin Dual Tour Heated

I just got a Corbin on my FXDC. I love it. It's an awesome seat.

Corbins are pretty much love it or hate it. They are very firm. Some like that, some don't. For my bony ****, firmer is better otherwise after awhile I feel like I've sunk straight down to the pan. Not good. Corbins are also VERY heavy. That's an issue for some, it's not for me. I had Corbins on both FZ1's that I've owned, and found that they gave me more room to move around, sat me further back from the bars (good for me) and a tad more legroom (also good for me). Really, you have to try it to know if it's gonna work for you.

Lots of people recently report that their customer service has gone down the crapper. Well, I didn't find that at all. I ordered the seat from the website, and a rep promply called me to confirm which type stitching I wanted, and what options, etc. Very friendly and shipping was quick. The seat is in perfect condition, and fits very nicely.

Oh yeah, and price. Corbin's website often has good deals in their "web specials" section. I found the seat for my Harley there, it retails for $699 and they had it listed for $249. It's the Dual Tour Heated with "tuck and roll" stitching. It's got heat for both rider and passenger, high and low, and slots for backrests for both rider and passenger. I bought an Ebay backrest for $89, and I'm very happy. Here's a link to the backrest that I bought:

This my first heated seat, and it is AWESOME for those cool evenings. Plus some say turning the heat on helps with butt burn on the long hauls (like putting a heating pad on sore muscles). Installation was a snap. It came with one of those little fuse adapter things, pull the accessory fuse, plug in the adapter, replace fuse in the adapter, install ground wire, and connect harness to seat. It's got a quick release pigtail so you can easily unplug the wiring when removing the seat. The only downside is that my sissy bar and luggage rack won't fit anymore, but that's okay. You can't have a passenger while using the driver's backrest, so when I've got my wife on board, I'll just move the backrest to the passenger spot. I've got a new Khrome Works luggage rack on order that should work. I actually like the look without the sissy bar better.

that's a good deal.
i have 2 corbin seats. nice seats, but i hate the way the new models mount with the bracket and key system. the seats cover mount holes making certain racks and sissy bars no longer work. i guess the lock system makes sense on an expensive seat like yours. i will no longer buy a seat from corbin because they are a bunch of jerks. like i said - i have 2 locking seats with 2 different locks - requiring 2 different keys. i've sent them numerous unanswered emails and called a number of times just wanting to get 2 "like" locks. i don't want them for free - willing to pay - they just won't get back to me - ever. i guess this means that they don't want my business - now or in the future?

Mine has no bracket and key system, it mounts just like the stock seat did. It the only reason my sissy bar and rack doesn't work is because the seat is longer and it sits further back on the rear fender, interfering with the bar and rack. That does seem silly to not be able to get two like locks. The girl I dealt with was named Jessica, she was very helpful, maybe she can help you?

I have the Corbin Dual Tour as well for my Fat Bob. Both the wife and I like it very much although it's only on when we are two-up which is about 60/40 in favor of solo because I still like the feel of the stocker and the looks it has as a solo rider. We were lucky enough to live close enough (2.5hrs) to Hollister where they are made so we were able to go down there and have ours made custom. By custom, I mean they would take the form, put it on the bike and have you go ride. Once you get back, they fine shape it to your desires as many times as you want. We also added a designed pattern which has some padding to give a softer layer, part of the back was tapered in to allow for the side plates of the sissy bar/tour pack and I had the lumbar base tapered more in for a better pocket. We didn't op for the heated version since we live in CA even though we ride all year long and so far there has been no need. Living in OH though, I'm sure I would have gotten it. Interesting experience, long day, but worth the results.

i was going to pull the trigger on one like yours - but realized my corbin 2 up is fine. probably going to sell the solo next week anyway. it is the best solo around, but for a boney azz like mine - it's just no good after 50-60 miles. i've used it exclusively for about a year and didn't remember how much better the 2 up was until i put it on last week. always got good deals on seats because of the 04-05 fitment being different than many years previous and all years after.

Wow, that's an amazing deal. I put a Corbin Dual Tour (unheated) on the Fat Bob, intending only to use it when my gal rides with me, and have left it on. . . I love it. It puts me right where I want to be and is so comfortable. I like the way it looks too.
