Yea, but no big ole hammer and I didn't snip my wires. It's easy to push the wire out of the connector and slide the wires through. It took me 45 minutes with watching the kids and a four month old in my lap. The wife didn't like that one. It would have took 15-20 if I wasn't watching the kids off and on. Having it on my new jack helps a lot too and I'm not sitting on the floor.
