Just because several mechs don't know of any fix besides new cases, doesn't mean there isn't one. A thorough understanding of the case, steel insert, shaft, etc., and how the oil is getting from inside to outside, may reveal a creative solution requiring little more than some thin shim-stock, RTV, JBWeld. Block the path by shielding, redirection, or barrier. Just thinking out loud. Good luck.

I would fix the bike. once the bike does not leak... probably be an awesome machine to own. It is unfortunate, but, not much you can do other than fix it correctly and learn from the experience.
