A buddy of mine just bought a brand new Fat Bob and I saw it for the first time today.

I noticed it didn't have a coil cover. I think the dealership must have forgot to put it on when they took the bike outta the crate.

Weather it's chrome or black I would think the coil cover would come with the bike wouldn't you?

On one hand I find that pretty hard to believe but nothing suprises me these days.

 

The term "bob" or Bobber" meant trim any excess metal off the bike to reduce weight and supposed to increase the speed and bad azz look.

nop street bobs don't have them but ive got one of a super glide the lines match.

 

I think that should of come up with a better name than Fat Bob.
To me , this bike does not come close to a stripped down bar-hopper Bobber.

btw..the chrome coil cover looks very nice if you get red wires and swap the derby cover with the NightTrain's black one.

 

No coil cover on my FXDC either, it's not just the Roberts that are missing them.

Just add that to the long list of things that should have come stock on the bike, but the MoCo now sells as "upgrades"..... :|

 

Get a coil cover for a 08 Lowrider and I bet it will fit.
